July 1979 First Printing hardbound Although less well known than his magnum opus, Bless Me Ultima, this is an important book in the Chicano literary canon. A truly scarce item in hardcover, it is thought that only a few dozen were printed. Condition is pristine, almost as new. $3,000.

An important archive of books from the library of General Matthew B. Ridgway.

All but one of the books is signed by General Ridgway. He was Airborne Commander during World War 2. He became a 4 star General and Army Chief of Staff.

Saga Of The All American - W. Forrest Dawson A history of the 82nd Airborne Division Published by Albert Love Enterprises 1946 This copy has the front cover gold embossed "Lt. General Matthew B. Ridgway" This was his personal copy and it is now housed in a custom clamshell case..

Those Devils in Baggy Pants - Ross Carter Publisher: Appleton Century Crofts Review copy. No dust jacket but there are photos of the General laid in and a menu from France on May 10, 1952.

Utah Beach a Cherbourg Editions LeClerc - St. Lo This history is all in French. Signed on title page "Ridgway, Ste. Mere Eglise, 6 June 1952 This must have been presented to him on the eighth D-Day anniversary at Normandy.
