This little classic was one of the most popular stories ever published and still remembered by many today because of its simplicity. It was an inspiration for all children, charmingly told and illustrated of what can be accomplished by the will to do. no pagination,(21pp.) color pictorial endpapers, illustrated in color by Lois L. Lenski, bound in red cloth, color illustration mounted to upper board, color pictorial endpapers. A splendid copy in its original unclipped pictorial dust jacket with no names, scribbles or major tears The dust jacket shows only minute wear to bottom edge of front panel and a tiny bit of chipping to spine ends with two small old tape mends to underside of jacket evidently to prevent further chipping. Bound in full contemporary speckled calf, central gilt stamped arms,. joints professionally re-enforced, a very nice clean copy of this important work on locomotive engineering.
