Description: FIRST EDITION, SIGNED by Tony Hillerman on the Half Title Page, no inscription. This is the Limited, Slipcased Edition. Because of Tony's brother Barney's death shortly after publication, the limitation page was not included. The Dark Red Cloth Boards with a beautiful silver embossed Navajo Sand Painting design on both front and back are in Fine condition, no wear, no bumps. The text and slipcase are also Fine, no flaws.

Sacred Clowns. Hillerman, Tony with original art by Franklin, Ernest. New York, HarperCollins, 1993.

Description: SIGNED, FIRST EDITION, FIRST PRINTING (stated, complete number line to 1). Signed by Tony Hillerman on the title page, no inscription. Two original color pencil and ink drawings by the late Navajo artist Ernest Franklin. A full page color drawing of Leaphorn and Chee on the page opposite the title page and a color drawing of a Hopi clown on the second half title page. Both drawings are signed by Franklin. Text and Dust Jacket are both in Fine condition with no blemishes.

Ernest Franklin (1942 - 2010) was born on the Navajo Reservation and grew up in a traditional family. He started drawing as a boy and continued until his death. With Ernie Bulow of Buffalo Medicine Books he started doing original illustrations in copies of Hillerman's books in the late eighties.

Description: Limited First US Edition in Slipcase, this being #22 of 250. Signed by the Author on the limitation page. Peruvian Mario Vargas Llosa received the Miguel de Cervantes Prize in 1994 and the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2010. Many critics consider this title as one of his greatest literary pieces. The book and slipcase are both Fine. No dust jacket as issued.
