Copper Sun. Countee Cullen. New York, Harper & Brothers, 1927.

Description:
First Edition ("first edition" and "G-B" on copyright page). Cullen's second book of poetry, which met with some controversy in the Black community because Cullen did not give the same attention to the subject of race he had given it in his first collection, "Color." Art deco illustrations by Charles Cullen, the author's brother. Inscribed by Cullen with a line from the poem "Song Of The Rejected Lover," signed "Your Buddy" (but inscription handwriting is verified). Very good book with rubbing to front panel and light wear to the edges of boards, in very good or better dustjacket (also illustrated by Charles Cullen), with moderately toned spine panel and only minor edge wear. 89 pages.

The Bounty Hunters. Elmore Leonard. Boston, Houghton Mifflin, 1954.

Description:
First Edition. This gritty western novel was Leonard's first book. Fine in very good dustjacket, clean and bright and without rubbing, wear or fading to speak of, but with a small amount of paper loss at spine heel (not affecting lettering), faint foxing to spine panel and some light damping to upper rear panel. 180 pages. Because most copies went to libraries, this notable debut title has become very difficult to find in collectable condition.

Price $2,750.00
