Description:
Signed by Moore on the front endpaper, who added "This is a rare first edition---full of errors and no sweat band on the beret shown on the cover. RM" A small bookseller label from Traver's Book Store in Trenton, New Jersey is on the rear pastedown. Corners slightly rounded. Mild creasing to the rear flap, but otherwise very little wear to the dust jacket. Quite uncommon! Publisher's price of $4.95 on the front flap. A landmark in Vietnam War lit, the author's controversial account of being the first civilian to undertake U. S. Army Special Forces training. Very Good in a Very Good dust jacket.

Description:
Signed on the colophon by James Lee Burke, who provides the foreword. An unnumbered copy, stamped on the colophon, "Chas. Hansen's copy." Hansen is acknowledged with thanks on the copyright page, and his Pride of Tacoma Press later printed Willeford's The Ubiquitous Roach Clip. Covers the filming of the Roger Corman production of Cockfighter (for which Willeford wrote the screenplay and also acted the role of Ed Middleton), taken from a diary he kept during the shoot. Fine in red cloth boards.
