Our Big Book, Dick and Jane
Gray, William S., Baruch, Dorothy, Montgomery, Elizabeth Rider
Illustrated by Eleanor Campbell
Scott, Foresman and Co., 1946
Very Good +. 28pp. 26"x19.5". Black/dark navy leather-look boards, slightly warped. Paper pastedown with title on front; sticker with the words "number chart" in center of title area. Panels front and back snap to a different position to let it stand alone as an easel; one snap on each side is missing. 7 sets of double-sided poster size pages in 3 ring binder, showing the first 7 stories of the "We Look and See" pre-primer. Intended for use in front of the classroom. Pages have minor darkening at edges, lightly toning, otherwise very nice; a few have a small stamp of a school name near the top. Spine edge binding is in two colors--this book may have been assembled from two, but all pictures are from the 1946 edition. Pages are numbered 4 to 30; missing the title and copyright page. Overall impression: very attractive and still functional. $850.00
