Contains a citation with gold seal that this volume is # 578 of an edition of 620. The recipient"s name, Mrs. Herman F. Ruegnitz, (pictured P. 195) is gold stamped on front board. Six hundred twenty society ladies' portraits each with a brief bio arranged by geographical area.Text is tight and unmarked, lightly foxed. Traces of glue or tape on final page of index. Endpapers in moire brown taffeta. Boards, coverd in brown suede, have gold stamped title and a blind-stamped floral device. Boards show light rubbing along edges. Spine is slightly lighter. A solid, handsome volume. $295.00
