The Great Gatsby. F. Scott Fitzgerald. New York, Charles Scribner's Sons, 1925.
218 pages. A classic American novel, always listed among the top five and often the top
selection of Best Novels in the English Language. First edition with the Scribner's
logo and 1925 on the copyright page and containing all six of the "points' consisting
of typographical errors that identify a first edition. Tightly bound, no hinge problems,
no names or other markings, the spine ends are just showing a hint of starting to fray
and the corners are bumped and thus a bit soft. The gilt lettering on the spine is faded
due to years of sitting on a shelf without a protective jacket but are still legible.
The DJ is a new facsimile jacket that matches the original in every way including price
except that a rectangular box on the bottom of the front flap contains the words
"Facsimile Jacket L.L.C." Cheaper alternative to owning the original jacket but in most
cases a flawed or worn one at that.
Price $3,900.00
