Twelve parts - loose prints in individual wrappers contained in a portfolio with a cloth spine and paper covered boards,
and cloth ties. The portfolio is in Very Good condition overall. All twelve parts are enclosed and in very good condition.
The cloth spine of the portfolio has edge wear, nicking and some fraying to the edges and spine joints The front cover has
some edge nicking and wear to the paper covering and some beginning spotting. All plates are included - twelve plates per
folder with the addition of two additional plates in Part 1- and all are in good condition with the exception of one small
tear to one plate (#5 in Part X). Most of the wrappers show wear along the top edges. The twelve parts include images of
various and sundry things related to Shakespeare. Among these are portraits of the bard, and of particularly notable actors /
actresses, playbills, famous scenes from the plays illustrated by famous artists. Several of the prints are in color, however,
most are in monochrome. This portfolio is one of several edited by Eaton - all featuring well-known authors / playwrights
(i.e. Charles Dickens, Robert Burns, etc.).
Condition: The portfolio and the prints are in very good condition. The wrappers are in good condition but show some wear on the tops.
