Phillips plays the character Henry Standing Bear in the Longmire TV series based on the novels. Revenge killings disrupt the serenity of a small western community and greatly complicate life for sheriff Walt Longmire. The first book in the series. Fine in a Fine dust jacket.

Description: First Printing. Light rubbing to the black cloth boards. One of only 750 copies issued in 1956, with a specially printed Grove Press dust jacket for U.S. distribution exclusively. The rights to the book eventually reverted back to Cassell, and Oak Publications published the first American Edition several years later in 1964. Light chipping to the top corner. Two small closed tears to the front and back panel. A well-preserved copy of this scarce dust jacket. Foreword by Stanley Dance. Very Good in a Very Good dust jacket.
