INSCRIBED by JFK to a nurse who worked at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., in the late 1950s and early 1960s. I bought this book from her family, with whom it had remained since Kennedy inscribed it.
 
This copy is a Book-of-the-Month Club edition, with the exterior dressed up with a trade edition dust jacket. The previous owner's name and sticker are on the front pastedown, and another family member's name has been blacked out on the pastedown with a marker. These are covered by the front flap of the dust jacket. Otherwise, the book is in good condition: shelf wear, some browning to the endpapers; interior clean and attractive.
